I'm wanting to get an elite jersey, but i'm 5'1 120lbs. The smallest Elite is 40 and I hear it fits like a medium, right?

Been a member on NT since 2001 and have seen its ups and downs. I'm not too big on the whole sneaker thing anymore since I don't have as much funds (in graduate school) or the time to be on NT as much (once again in graduate school), but I still do come on Niketalk daily. I moved on from sneakers to mainly visiting NT for the Stay in Shape thread, the NFL week in review, Roshe thread, Kobe VIII thread, and all the of the general and S&T threads.

Seeing all the negativity of the Secret Santa post (which I was a part of for 2 years now) and the increase in resellers and everyone out for themselves, I've still met a good amount of people because of this board, although not so much lately. Recently I posed in the Nike NFL clothing thread http://niketalk.com/t/332565/2012-n...ear-jerseys-april-3-launch/1740#post_16734912 asking if anyone could help me locate a certain Texans beanie (I don't care what NT thinks of the Texans, that's my city, that's my team, go somewhere else with that trash talk as we beat the Bengals this weekend.) I knew the beanie was about $20 but I just never bought it and 2 days after I saw it on eastbay it was sold out EVERYWHERE online except for ebay, which it is still going for over $50 shipped which I thought was absurd.

I asked thinking that someone could help me find one online, or help me by buying it and shipping it in which I would pay them back, but knowing how NT is now a days (reselling, everyone out for themselves) I didn't think much of it. Then I received a PM from DimondJ15 asking if I still wanted one and he had one more left at his workplace so I jumped at the opportunity and asked him how much shipped, but then he just responded, don't worry, just give me an address and we'll get everything settled first.

Fast forward to today, I get the beanie and I hit him up saying thanks and how much/where can I send a payment to. He responds:
No problem man. Just glad I could help a fellow NT'er. Blame it on the Christmas spirit. haha

It may not seem much to everyone on NT seeing this, but this just shows why I am still an active member and why I still visit NT still after 11 years even though I'm not heavy into the sneaker scene anymore. This is how the community used to be, helping each other out, looking out for one another, but I understand, as sites/forums get bigger, you end up losing the whole community aspect of things.

Again, this thread isn't to brag etc. It's an appreciation to NT and DiamondJ15 showing how the community used to be and still is in a sense.

Here it is, don't mine the stuffed animal, closet thing I had to me at the moment LOL.



By the way, Jasper, if you see this, I still got your address from the box, you got good karma coming your way, may not be soon, but it'll come, I'll return the favor one day and hopefully surprise you.

Well looks like I'll be copping a 49ers elite next year. Such a struggle to find one over the past month or two. Anyway just ordered a limited Patrick Willis jersey for the NFC championship game here in Atlanta! I will be talking pure sh*t to everyone, in good fun that is. haha. Anyone else up in here going to be at the Georgia Dome on Sunday.

+1 here for a seahawks beanie if anybody spots it, either the New era Knit Sideline one that is like the texas one above, or the new era jake 3 version that says SEAHAWKS across the top....it's absurd that the seahawks beanies command the most $$$$ out of all the teams in the league....

I hate how tight the armpit area is whenever I try on the limited jerseys, just feels funny. Do the elite jerseys fit similarly?

Went to NTNY just to see if I could try on any elite jerseys, they only had Mark Sanchez jerseys sz 50 and up

Still can't find a white Seahawks Lynch elite jersey (would probably need equivalent to a small).

Just a *WARNING* for anyone ordering a Nike Elite 51 CUSTOM jersey. (NOT a players name and number but whichever name and number you prefer)

Both my son and I ordered custom jerseys a few days apart. After we received them, we compared the numbers and both were wrong.

I ordered a Seahawks Elite 51, personalized jersey on October 22nd, 2012.

Upon receiving the jersey I immediately noticed the numbers on my jersey were not the twill fabric described on the site, nor did they match the numbers of the Elite 51 jerseys at the Pro Shop at Century Link Field.

The numbers on my jersey are a stiff, plastic material, and are stitched onto the jersey one time. Additionally, the silver, feathered part of the numbers is not twill (fabric) like the Elite 51 jerseys at the Pro Shop. If you purchase one you'll notice that the numbers are so cheap that they included an image of stitching on the silver part, which isn't even the way the "official" Elite 51 jerseys are made, or offered at the Pro Shop.

I've called NFL Shop Customer Support more than five times now, and while they've been more than accommodating with the return, I keep being told: these numbers are SUBLIMINATED TWILL, not twill. Then why advertise it as twill? The first time I was told I'd have another jersey sent to me and my order price would be refunded. I called back November 13th, and was told that I'd need to ship back my "damaged" jersey, and they'd send me another one. After requesting to speak to a supervisor I was told that she would get in touch with the manufacturer to see what the issue is with the numbers being sewn on to the Elite 51 jerseys, and if it's intended to be this way.

In addition, my father also ordered a personalized Elite 51 jersey and received the same lettering type.

The rest of the jersey is top notch - the materials are quality and everything else is up to spec, however, the numbers feel like the "Premier", $100 stitched Reebok jerseys that were offered by the NFL in the past. These numbers would permanently crease if they were bent too much, and I have a feeling that's what these will do. $300, huh?

I don't know if this is a manufacturer issue or if this is the NFL taking a short cut, but for $300 I want my jersey to be the EXACT jerseys worn on the field, not Elite 51 with the exception of cheap, plastic numbers in which a shortcut was clearly taken.

I got a friend who works for the Eagles. He hooked me up with a few pairs. Probably gonna keep one each of the DJax PEs and the retail black/green gloves and throw the rest on eBay . I saw the retail ones going for around $75 so I can make a nice little comeup off of the pairs of those I got. Haven't seen any PEs on there so I don't know what to expect for those. Kinda pissed I couldn't score an Eagles beanie :\.

Yeah they are hard to find man. I'll be grabbing one or two next year as soon as they go on sale. Yeah, Goldson & Whitner jerseys would be dope. Hopefully we take it all this year & that will give them reason to produce more next year!

I guarantee that's what they did. The NFL changed the method that they stitch numbers on jerseys a few years ago. NFL Shop has never caught up. I ordered a Customized Torrey Smith jersey this year and it came with Twill numbers but they were the old style and stitched on the old way. I would guess that NFL shop still has all the old numbering for most teams but obviously, Seattle has new numbers this year. I would guess they are just using the limited numbers for those jerseys since they do not have any of the new style numbers.

Man, I ordered a limited Davis jersey(only sz Large they had) from lids locker room in my local mall yesterday and a medium limited gore jersey today, both w/ express shipping of course. Definitely worth checking out both of their online shops. lids.com & fanzz.com I ordered both b/c I was unsure of sizing. Wanted to be safe, rather than sorry. One will be getting returned.

Yup, both my son's and mine were returned. NFLshopDOTcom likes to take their sweet time with refunds.
