May be a dumb question, but do old SBs experience sole cracking/separation like other old Nike shoes? Asking as I have a few older pairs that are DS

It is very very rare that rubber midsoles and outsoles crack/crumble. They have to be stored in some harsh, super dry conditions I think for that to happen. Most Jordan 1s (similar construction) from 1985 and 1994 are still worn today with no problems. Sometimes the glue between the midsole and the uppers gives way, but the stitching holds the shoe together.

Dunks hold up pretty well. I’ve got a pair of SB’s from ‘03 (Broncos) that are still wearable. I think the glue would crack before anything, but only if you leave the, somewhere hot like a car or attic for an extended period of time.

Dad wore the same Air Force ones for like 30 years. I have no doubt Dunks will hold up the same.

The only thing I have experienced with Older Dunks, is hardening of Soles.
Not on all, but on some.

I’m really wondering what’s coming next from SB. Their marketing and customer engagement is awful. This SB team has got to work on that.

So the swoosh on my tiff dunks started deteriorating. I’m all for rocking them trashed but was wondering if you guys have any advice to restore them. Got some peeling and cracking going on. I’ll post pics later

My first pair of dunks was actually a pair that had the same mudguard design but the color combo was brown, blue, silver or white(idr). I got them in like 2008 and haven’t been able to ID them online

Not these..? Mudguard pattern is different but they were around the same time and instantly come to mind bc the colors match..

Edit .. after racking my brain I remembered these too.. which may be the more likely..

Man, I thrashed them up!
I always wish they were SBs, with a Padded tongue.

YES THE BOTTOM ONE. If I remember correctly that weave was a dark brown and not a black. Man I loved those
