felt like even before he officially retired that it was time to look for an OT regardless.
Maybe mid rounds... now it's definitely an emphasis to look at the blind side in the first 2
Apparently his mom begged him to retire after they saw Concussion together. Pay cut could've been what put him over.
Definitely was, hate the fact some jets fans are ******** on him because they feel he didn't want to play for "cheap".

Jets will have LT options at 20, but don't assume they wait til the draft. Could look at trading for Ryan Clady, Joe Thomas or Luke Joeckel.
Exactly. Can't fault the dude at all.I can't fault D'brick, dude was 100% professional and one of the few first rounders that paned out for this franchise. I'm just shocked more than anything. Also, this changes the draft strategy.
can't

If anything I'm proud and happy for the guy.
He played at a high level for 10 years, and can walk away in his own terms... and most importantly - healthy.
Not a lot of guys can boast that career.
And like someone said. Dude was a soldier. A leader on and off the field. Only missed one snap his whole career. ONE.
that's unheard of. He's the prime example of what you want from a player when you draft him.

Jets and Broncos have been working on the Ryan Clady deal for over a week, in anticipation of D'Brickashaw Ferguson's retirement.
I'm told Clady adjusted his deal to facilitate.
Per a source with knowledge of the contract, Clady will make $6 million in 2016. Of that amount, $3 million is guaranteed. Another $1.5 million is available in incentives based on playing time and postseason honors.
The Jets hold an option for 2017 at $10 million. The amount of the 2017 salary can increase to $13 million based on 2016 playing time. There’s also a bonus of $2.5 million due in February 2017, forcing the Jets to make a quick decision on whether they’ll keep Clady for the second year.
