It’s my personal belief that the reverse infrareds will drop before the standard infrared drops again, especially since the brand has been so heavy on reimagining OG colorways.

That credit goes to my pops and Niketalk in general. My dad tried to keep me in nice sneakers growing up when he could afford to. Black Toe 13s, Olympic 6s, Black Cat 4s even. When times got hard, it was back to regular shoes but my love for Jordan's never went away. Then I discovered Niketalk in 2012 and lurked. A lot. I was here in during my 2nd year in middle school and ventured into the Concord 11 thread from the previous year, seeing the discussions about "unauthorized authentics" and Air Randy and whatnot. The 'Get Money Boyz' licking their Concords on live TV and the girl talking about people getting 'ammonia' by standing out in the cold for the Concords that year.
Even though I didn't make an account until 2015 when I'd saved up money to buy myself the Aqua 8s that year, I was around reading countless discussions in here. You guys unknowingly taught me the importance of these shoes from a design standpoint and even historical/cultural standpoint. I also did my own due diligence and read articles, watched MJ games on YouTube (still do from time to time), etc. It became more than just "I like Jordans" and progressed into "I love these silhouettes for their design and their history in regards to MJ and the various cultures they've impacted." In the end due to being here and like I said, doing my own due diligence, I ended up becoming an OG > everything kinda guy, but I do make exceptions here and there.
For reference, I was born in 2000. So I've been here half my life as I'm 24 now.

but get your unworn pairs out of the factory lacing. they got em choked up and pulled in weird in the middle. lowkey started a crease with the lacing.
i wear my 2014's everyday trying to yellow them. i'm glad i pulled the 2019's out and noticed.

I unlace every pair because of this. Nike's asylum straight jacket factory lacing is harsh on the materials. My Cardinal 7s have permanent indents on the neoprene tongues because of the overly tight lacing.

Had to sell all my pairs because the half side down was killin my feet. True to size fit me better. Gonna have to scoop up pairs before they spike higher smh

That would actually make sense if you think about it..they’ve done the 1s, off white 2 is sort of reimagined, then the threes, then the bred fours, now the metallic 5s…6 sounds plausible to me!

Wouldn't surprise me. I know someone here said White Infrareds are returning in 2026. Wouldn't be surprised if we see a reimagined pair of Black Infrareds drop that same year.
I made this mockup edit on my phone years ago by overlaying a 1991 pair over the 2019 release to show what they'd look like with a leather-like contrast heel. JB would just need to use the same upper material as the 2019 release albeit with whiter cut lines on the nu-durabuck, a higher tongue, and thicker Nike Air on the heel. While these would pretty much be a regular OG retro and not a reimagined version, if we got this with the improvements I mentioned, I'd be super satisfied.
(Excuse the shakily drawn cut lines, I had to use my finger to draw them in back then)
Obviously it won't happen though, so I'd be more than okay with the reimagined pair being the Reverse Infrareds from that Eastbay catalog in 2000 I think?
