The media as a whole in general probably feel some type of way in not getting a return on their hype investment from last season. But nothing about their coverage is out of the ordinary, they actually got off pretty light seeing as football season had already started.
What do you mean by stay in your place? Clippers made themselves an easy target for everyone, they never shut up without really accomplishing anything.

NAHHHHH we not about to do this with the Clippers of all teams. that team literally based it's promotion off being the Anti Lakers, they forced the "rivalry", they played up Kawhi choosing the Clippers over the Lakers.
This same media was heavily favoring the Clippers over the Lakers, downplaying the Lakers success the entire year & still thinking the Clippers were gonna flip a switch.
Then they have one of the most embarrassing losses in NBA history, while their competition wins the championship. then to top it off they fire their coach & we hear how the lockeroom had a lot of internal issues.
