I miss Ky on the Celts. He had everything basketball wise there that he could have wanted anywhere else. He was Batman, he had two Robins in Tatum/Brown, they were deep, they were winning, I never really understood it, I honestly thought that they, if healthy could’ve won it all, eventually.
He couldn't or didn't want to play PG. Shot them out of series after winning game 1 playing smart.

how about this 3 team trade KD to bulls derozen to lakers and westbrook and picks few young talents to nets??

He was absolutely fine playing PG. In fact that's the most "pure point" type of season he's ever had.

The extra **** that came w/ Kyrie was more of a detriment than anything he did on the floor there (health aside). And they didn't need him to table set everything with Hayward as a secondary playmaker.

It was bigger than one series...they weren't right all year. Fights, guys calling each other out through the media, bickering on the bench, ulterior motives, etc. Kyrie wasn't the only one to blame but he did ALOT that year and showed why he shouldn't be THE guy for a team.

Really thought Clifford was gonna be an assistant for Ham when Ham was hired, but good for him.

Very unaspiring hire by MJ. Probably saving himself money.

I mean pre Bron Cleveland was enough to show Kyrie can’t be the lead guy…Alotta his teammates weren’t rockin with him n yo got punched in the face  …That Celtics time just cemented what his role should /shouldn’t be

Even then you give him the benefit of the doubt because he was a teenager and it's Cleveland. They had Dion Waiters and Tristan Thompson as his running mates.

Boston was really his first time as a legit seasoned vet who's been through some ****, with a playoff caliber roster with him as the head honcho and a chance to show who he is in that role.

Which is why I said couldnt OR didn't want to. He did it fine game 1 not sure what happened rest of series. It would be late in the first or early second he's already 2-13 while tatum has only shot twice. That's being a nut. But yea maybe he did it intentionally knowing he didn't see himself there going forward. His leadership was clearly lacking as you illustrated, which is also apart of being a PG.

Someone socked Mickey from Waltham?

You still talking about the series. I'm saying the team wasn't right all year and it had very little to do with Kyrie's ability to play PG. His ability to play PG had nothing to do with:

Marcus Smart being Marcus Smart
Marcus Morris being unpredictable and in a contract year.
Terry Rozier being in a contract year and having to take a backseat from the previous playoff run.
Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown struggling to figure out how to fit in around the vets.
Gordon Hayward A) returning from a serious injury and B) struggling to figure out how to fit back in to everything go on.
Brad Stevens not being the type of guy to juggle so many mercurial personalities.

If they were in sync and did what they were capable of doing all year...they wouldn't have been a 4 seed that had to run into the 1 seed in round 2.

That all comes with being a leader which as the only guy with a ring on a team with younger guys, was part of his role. He showed he couldn't play that role. Sure they were still a young team coming into their own but that series was theirs for the taking. Kyrie took away any chance of that.

I guess you didn't like my wording cause otherwise I'm not sure where the disagreement is
