I WILL say there’s context missing. You don’t see his top 10. Larry is #12 behind Russell. He’s got MJ, Kobe, Lebron, Steph, Duncan, Dream, Shaq, etc.
Bird is under-rated severely nowadays. Between ‘84 and ‘86 he was miles ahead of everyone else. He’s top 5 for me.

He’s a legend for sure.
Larry gave everyone fits.
He’s not in my top five but I respect if he’s in yours. I also, personally, respect Gilbert’s list as well.
Think Larry’s issue is the same as other older players. The more time has passed since they played, the easier they are forgotten. I feel like Kareem is the most disrespected player of all time.

Yeah, that’s a huge factor. I have to say that until recently I hadn’t seen many prime Kareem Lakers games - so I watched a bunch and my opinion of him went way up. I always knew the stats but he was tough. Really tough and way ahead of his time.
