Right and we all knew before the playoffs began the nuggets were not going to be any type of threat at all. So I'm not sure why u keep saying it's a regular season award as if we don't all know that. Amazing stats with little help on a non contender does not equal MVP. Since atleast 1980 till now the only other MVP from a non contender is Russ who u seem to realize in a previous post was a little questionable to win the award. What changes with jokic? Maybe your doing the opposite of these folks who are into certain adult films and propping the white guy up for some reason?

Which is the point, he got lambasted as a stat padder in the immediate aftermath in large part b/c of what happened in the playoffs vs Houston. He was the most clutch player in the league that season by every metric, yet in real time and since that historic season is mocked and ridiculed b/c of subsequent seasons. I just wanna see if the same energy for Joker is kept where ppl are going to look back on this MVP with a side eye.

I see. I have the upmost respect for Westbrook killing it when he was solo on OKC. I was praying that he didn't get injured like Rose/Wade since he went all-out all of the time too. Like you mentioned, it's just hard to separate Westbrook from what he was then to what he became now. I actually give Jokic a year or two to at least make the WCF. Actually, if he doesn't make it that far with Murray and Michael Porter next year or not putting up 35-40ppg solo, than I'm going to start to disregard him when it counts.

You have multiple claims, some of which I agree with, some of which are hysterically flawed. The porn angle supporting a claim I think I agree with was hysterically flawed. From what I gather, it seems some of your claims are:
  • Racism exists.
  • Some white people view black people as hyper-aggressive and hyper-masculine.
  • These white people undervalue white athletes.
  • We even see this in porn.
That's not just one claim to go "Yep, I agree!" or "Nope, I disagree!" There's a lot to unpack there and I'm [supposed to be 😬] working so I don't have the time to dive in, hence the satirical responses to the one thing that was the most egregious.

that actually isn't a rule that is written down anywhere.
unwritten rules are not actually rules a no one has to follow them.

the thing that we know for sure is that it's a regular season award.
so it's totally reasonable to ignore analysis that takes potential playoff performance into account.

If you read what I wrote, it's less about the playoff performance and more about how his style of play impacted his teammates.
if the argument is "my teammates are terrible so i deserve the MVP"

but your style of play is contributing to them being terrible,
the MVP argument falls apart.

that's not the dynamic with jokic.
