Tough. You add Verlander AND Scherzer but still can’t win. On the other hand Padres had crowned themselves the champs especially after getting Soto. I’d say people had more expectations for the Padres by a little.Bigger flop so far, Mets or Padres?

Think we can call it a tie. But man, $358 mil payroll makes that hurt though, especially with almost a $110 mil tax bill. I didn’t realize they’re paying almost $50 mil to guys not even on their team or retired.
