makes sense. Unless a player is willing to take a significant discount, it’s much uncertainty to be dishing out some crazy big deals before that cba stuff gets done.

kinda dirty but we had a coach that basically said (sort of like football when a QB throws a pick) anytime the pitcher is in the way you plow through his as.

so if they’re covering first on a ground bal and he’s in the baseline you truck him, if they’re foot is in the way .. well don’t go out of your way to miss stepping on him (same for first baseman)
