I'm obviously biased, but I completely get this take. However, wouldn't most fans want their team to do the same if they had the means? They're making a ****load of money, so I rather they maximize my team's potential to win than pocket it.As a Giants fan, im not even mad. Operating under the rules, so I cant blame them. What I will say is this:
-this is shameless purchasing of titles
-fans of 29 teams are rooting for catastrophic injuries to the Dodgers stars, as they think thats the only way any other team can compete....which is terrible for the game.
-the way the Dodgers are operating is going to be turning a lot of people off the sport.
MLB has had periods in its history where a team here or there had similar approaches as LA now but it's been ok . Folks will watch and root against the Dodgers, perhaps now more than ever in hopes to see a "villain" fall.
