Yeah I think Cohen told Boras he'd go at least 5% over any top bid. Happy for the Mets, they were for real last season and they'll be for real for a long time now.

Look at last yr alone and how long free agents were waiting around to be signed and the Yankees to offer and bump these deals and didn't with his clents especially (Snell, Montgomery, Bellinger, etc ). All those guys ain't sign till extremely late mainly cause the Yanks last yr were shutting Boras clients out. Of course they'll have to deal with him again because he has everyone but don't get it f*cked up, the Yanks can't stand that dude.
Whatever, over and done, time to move on.

If it was cause of the guard then that guy should be dog walked down Grand Concourse while people get to kick him in the ribs.
