The Mets knew of Cespedes' heel issues back in 2015 and knew he'd need a procedure done at some point. They wanted to trot him out hurt like they did Beltran in '10. Should have shut him down back in May and had it done then so he could be ready for '19. Mismanaged this entire thing.
