I think fans would be more upset to see him stick around and only end up w/ a comp pick. I think folks in the area are starting to understand that he's extremely overrated. Not to mention, that during the Caps run, there was this:

Oh, trust me....I couldn't care less.
I'd probably do the same if I was in his shoes. However, there were A LOT of fans who viewed this as the nail in the coffin. If he was playing better, I'm sure many people could probably let it slide.
