We all knew it from day 1. I was hoping they could piece it together but it's a disaster.
I like Enny Romero. Unfortunate outcome tonight but he throws gas.
That loss really stings. Scherzer pitched his butt off for 8 innings. Lind with the pinch hit homer. All for nothing.

1st inning. 2 outs. Bases empty. Bryce Harper decides to lay down a bunt. WHY? He should be trying to hit the warehouse vs Ubaldo.
I fear this season could go south in a hurry. Eaton's injury was the start of it. The offense is due for a serious regression.

Is their offense not already a week into that regression? At least they are still putting up enough to W most nights right? For now anyway. Plenty time to make some moves, don't get down yet they still have 3 of the best hitters in Baseball, that helps.

It's not a regression when it's returning to reality. Team was never as good as those 23-6 games made you think.

the offense isn't the issue. Neither are the starters. The Nats currently have a bullpen that a 100 loss team would be rolling out. Without Eaton there is regression and that's reality. With him leading off the lineup settled in and was raking. Since then Turner seems to have put too much pressure on himself and we replaced a good contact/OBP guy with a strikeout machine in Michael Taylor.

I am not condoning Matt Harvey's behavior, but think about this......
Imagine the worst hangover you have ever had in your life. Were you able to function at all during said hangover? Now imagine your best high/buzz you have ever had in your life. Was there anything you didnt think you could do?
Just trying to put into perspective why a hangover is not the same thing as being on drugs. Matt Harvey is an idiot and deserves all the negative backlash he is getting. Just dont think being hungover and high are comparable.
