2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

I know people sometimes rent up storage units but I'm not there yet so the pairs I want to keep in pristine condition just go to the top of my piles. Box stays undamaged.
Mine go to the bottom and I flip the box so I cant see the size and colorway. Makes me forget about them. :p

My piles are ranked. Boxes and kicks I care less about go to the bottom. The ones I want to keep clean or easily accessible go to the top. From looking at my piles you can see the shoes I wear and like the most as well as wear and like the least. Keep in mind the shoes I wear less often and like less are still worthy of my collection. So I do still love them, just not as much as, say, the 2006 Metallic 5's or my BC3's

Man thats a good price.$260 for some size 13/14 temples.

I dont think its terrible at all and for a shoe you really want.
There used to be pairs all over the place in a sz13 for $200-$220.

I didn't even like the idea of paying that

I'm not fond of dropping over $200 for SBs or any shoe really.

Once prices go past $250 it's got to be a shoe I REALLY want.

Retail/resale it don't matter. I'm a very frugal person.

It's not even like I can't afford it. I just don't want to pay it

Oh,I feel you fam but for an older DS shoe in a big size thats not a bad deal at all.

Sometimes it has be done and not regretted.

I agree with that but at the same time it comes down to supply. I have a buddy who lined up a DS pair of Black Supreme Lows for me for $1k. That's honestly a reasonable price considering the number of DS pairs out there is probably less than 100. Who really knows but you gotta consider that fact when purchasing shoes that are older. It's not like any shops are gonna have Thai Temples left unless they're a consignment place. I see them used for around $150 all the time but the older a shoe gets, the bigger the disparity between DS price and even worn 1x price.

My limit is ~$200 for non-grails.  I'm not above dropping some coin for a shoe I really want.

On this topic - There is this kid that I ran into at the YOTH release that wouldn't stop talking about how he "never pays over retail".  Then some time later he saw me wearing my WPFs and he was mirin hard. When I told him I dropped $200 on them he said that crap again "I'd never pay over retail".

I just shrugged.  "Good luck finding these for retail, bro."

I don't know if anybody is interested but I just ran across a pair of sz 12.5 Newcastles for $110 OBO on the Bay.  No box but they appear to be in great shape.

I neverstood people with muiltiple grails.

Its like have multiple bestfriends lol

Not the same at all.

I have multiple grails. (Skunks, Yellow Lobs, Diamond Lows) All shoes I cant afford or can't find but are high on my list.

Was super interested in the NewCastles until I saw no box. Fuu

ahahahaha.Well there are mormons and africans tribes fam

I use to think of grails as the 1 shoe you wanted and had to have and you probably couldnt afford it or it was rare.My 1 and only grail was the space jams.

Now grails just means a shoe you want.

I've got 3 shoes that I consider grails, and due to lack of any action in the resale market I'll probably never own any of them.

And of course the ultimate in unobtainable a set of all 7 Original Dunk Highs from the 1985/86 season in my size. I've seen one or two pop up in other sizes, but never in my size.

I must say Premiers customer service is unreal compared to other retailers.

I'd like to add Renarts in LI to the list of shops that are pretty great at taking care of customers, I ordered a pair of shoes from them via paypal invoice and got them in quickly with a little note and a post card explaining the store's history.

I feel ya.
If I miss the Initial release and can't pick up my Sneaks for retail...or a bit above retail, then they were not meant to be mine.
I prefer to pay Cash for all my Sneaks, if I don't have the funds on hand, then they weren't mine to have.
BUT, If I see something that I missed and I REALLY WANT/NEED THEM, then out comes the Credit Card/Paypal Account.
I missed the SOMPs, and BAOs, but I'm not sweating them, if I find them for a good price...then I'll buy them.

You guys are terrible influences

bunch of enablers

Gonna put those funds towards a pair of carmines though.

I'll get me some thai temples when I get them. I'm in no rush

My hard limit for anything that isn't a must-have is $300. $200 for WPFs is a damn good price.

With the current sneaker market the way it is, kid is going to lose out on a lot with that mentality.

I once heard someone say he had "grails" which were multiple shoes he wanted and then he had his "holy grail" which was the one impossible to get shoe that he wanted.

When you think of it like that I have a couple grails but my one holy grail would have to be paris SBs. If I had the funds I would double up. One to rock and one to stock forever.
