I'm not sure what else they were supposed to do with it. It was a little nod to griffy in a dunk form. Mid made the most sense to size and shape. They noted the details. So no it's not that obvious to me how they "dropped the ball"

i'm not sure how the freshwater joints could've been interpolated any better onto a dunk tbh...big big salty that they're not dropping here outside of seattle

Seems like a stupid decision, on the surface.
My theory - production has been eff-ed because of Covid. So they made what they could. Dumped what little they had towards minimal demand in Europe. Partnered with 35th for Seattle.

Griffey’s look really nice and I’m not even a fan of mids. I think these are possibly the best mids to ever release. If they were an easy cop I’d consider grabbing them to skate. I had the griptapes back in the day for skating purposes and loved them. First pair of dunks I ever skated.

The dunks are very cool, but wouldn't say cooler. Cooler than the griffey mids for sure though. I remember when Sandy Boedecker posted those a couple years back on his instagram. I didn't know nike posted the detailed photos for the archive thanks for sharing.

It's just the newer orange label boxes. Some infrareds were in the old and some were in the new. Just like how a bunch of the newer quickstrikes varied between teal and striped boxes

No from a lil boutique in Canada...notice the cad retail tags...they had both 11. 11.5 and grabbed a 13 for my homie... Still waiting for those to come. Also grabbed two pair of spectrums that haven't arrived yet either.... That canada post shipping to usps is weird.
