2024 NIKE SB DUNK THREAD_____GRs and QSs added

So, SB Fellers. Have any of you got used kicks in smelling like Matthew Mcconaughey in True Detective (HEAVY CIG SMELL)? What did you do? Is there any way to fix it?
dryer sheets and if you can let them air out outside. Or use tumble setting in a dryer (if the shoe can withstand that). Did it with some clothing once after leaving a poker night with some friends.

Yeah this isn't quite poker night with friends level. It is more "shoes were stored in 10 pounds of cigarette ashes to preserve the torn suede" level.

well in that case as much cleaner as possible, as many dryer sheets as possible, some cologne, odor eaters, more dryer sheets and a zip lock bag should POTENTIALLY do the trick. #imnotliablefortheactualresults

Have you contacted the seller? I'm assuming he didn't let on before the sale that he was a "heavy" smoker.

I'd be pissed if this happened to me...:{

Yeah, if i decide to keep I'll probably just straight up throw them in the laundry haha or JMarkk that ish to deaf.

This is all I can picture going on at the house these shoes originated from
Hahaha so true.

If all else fails, you'll definitely win the dispute since the seller didn't mention the shoes as being an ash tray

@DanVSMan
Yeah, I know I will, which is why I contacted the guy first so he can be kept in the loop about what I decide.

I did earlier today when I received them. Have not heard back. He's a relatively new user so I'm expecting a delayed response and honestly I'm not trying to beat him over the head since he's got no experience selling online before. Probably didn't even occur to him that it was something he needed to mention. It's $45 so at the end of the day I might just use the kicks as a learning experience on how to deep clean suede and on how to remove odors from shoes.

Very decent of you. Tell him to use the $45 to go buy some nicotine patches and cut that ish out lol.

I have no filter. If I have a problem with how the thread is rolling (OD'ing on AJ1's, trash talk, 3 pages in a row about the philosophy of hiphop...) I just post about it.

 Repped.

That's what makes this thread great! If things get off the rails we correct things and get the thread back on topic.

Happy 420 dunk fam! Celebrating my 2nd year anniversary with my wife and busting these out for the 2nd wear.

Haha I probably should. Lord knows that money is already spent, though.

waht condition are thye in otherwise?
Ummm, kind of a tricky question to answer. My initial opinion (from looking at the pictures provided in the listing) was that they were a little beat up, but not bad condition considering the heel drag was minimal and the toe boxes not THAT creased up. After receiving them, I found a straight up hole in the suede on the toebox, and both toe boxes are scuffed up with long, straight marks that I can't figure out how they got there. Both toe boxes have them and it is kinda uniform-looking which is odd for something that usually happens by mistake.

I don't buy used shoes or sell my own, but do $45 Thai temples seem like a red flag to anyone else?

Try skating them. Might not help with the smokey smell but at least you'll be out there skating to take your mind off it!
