2025 NBA Draft Thread

 Another first? Nah. Straight up is what I agree for. There’s nobody else on that team I want. I’ll throw in some big baller brand stock.

I guess yo could take over for Monte Morris in a season or 2...That would be the reasoning
I feel like the Nuggets dont NEED anything, they have two guys who play minutes at every position. He can fill in a gap and not mess up.

The Philadelphia 76ers select Jahmius Ramsey.

I figured the Zhaire Smith experience would've scared Philly from drafting another Texas Tech player.

Honestly never knew he even existed before researching for this mock draft but after watching a bunch of highlights I’m now heavily invested into Jahmius Ramsey becoming a Sixer

That's why they have been taking players with the highest potential ceiling. Bol and MPJ.

I always liked going in and drafting for the highest possible ceiling guys instead of drafting guys who are solid role players at best.

I'm heading out on vacation today, probably not gonna have my phone on me much. B Sox B Sox do you mind making the Celtics' picks at #26 and 30?

Heat has a lot of potential needs with an unstable core and aging vets(as well as lurking capspace) so with one stone to bare, we need a soldier off the bench for defense- Achuiwa.

Tyrell Terry or Cassius Stanley in alternate universes tho, they smell like future Heat projects

The Utah Jazz ( B Sox B Sox ) are on the clock.

With the 24th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Utah Jazz select Patrick Williams, Freshman Wing out of Florida State.

Williams is one of the youngest players in the draft, and IMO has the highest upside of any wing left on the board. At 6'8" 225 with a 6'11" wingspan he possesses an NBA-ready body with good athleticism. Good motor and a solid base set of skills. Think that he can be a good defender and has a little bit of playmaking ability that could potentially make him a valuable role player. Lacks the wiggle to be a go-to scorer, but can definitely be a useful piece on offense with his screening and cutting. Still improving as a shooter. I trust that Quinn Snyder and his staff can help his continued development. Think he could be their starting 4 of the future.

Also considered Tyler Bey and Robert Woodard II, but both are older, and don't really foresee either of them having the potential ceiling that Williams has.

The Boston Celtics ( JD617 JD617 ) are on the clock.

JD617 JD617 has me taking over for him...

With the 26th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft, the Boston Celtics select Nico Mannion, Freshman Point Guard out of Arizona.

I watched a lot of Arizona games and their team as a whole was extremely disappointing, especially given the fact that they have 3 guys capable of being first round picks. Personally I put a lot of the blame on Sean Miller's garbage offense. While Mannion didn't shoot as well as I'd like, I think he can improve, especially in a better system. Elite passer/feel for the game. Pushes the pace in a Lonzo-esque fashion which I love, especially with the wings that the Cs already have in place. Boston needs a backup PG/potential PG of the future and I think Mannion can fit the bill, at least for the Backup PG role. Good HS pedigree and won't need to create a ton off the dribble right away in Stevens' system, which is a plus for him. Just needs to play smart. Defense is going to be an issue, but it is with most PGs anyways.

OKC picks Daniel Oturu ....All the bigs on the Thunder are bout to be free agents or on options except for Adams, need some depth. Oturu Averaged 20 and 10 in a power conference and protected the rim

Similar to Stix, I feel like Oturu is getting overlooked a bit. Protects the rim, can score in the paint, and has shown that he can step out from time to time and knock down the 3.
