2026 NBA Draft Thread

I mean yeah he’d be like the best prospect ever if he was 7ft tall

Instead he’s a strong as hell PF that actually focuses on getting to the basket and is a high level 3pt shooter. Very good passer. Basically Paolo but if he did all the **** you wish he did.

Sure he might have some trouble defending the Flagg/Tatum type 4s in the league, but so does everybody. And they are all gonna struggle guarding him.

Folks overthinking things like crazy with him.

I really don’t want to like Cam Boozer as much as i like him. Keep fighting myself not having him 1 personally

I think I would take AJ over Booz for positional value among other things, but Booz is going to be really good.

Damn. That's a perfect comp.

Only I think he comes in around 6'7-8" barefoot. But the more I watch him, the more I like. He's smart as ****. He doesn't take bad shots and does all the dirty work. Can pass surprisingly well out of doubles and in traffic and it looks like he can be a 40% 3pt shooter.

Just based off potential I still have AJ #1, but Boozer looks to easily have the highest floor of anyone in the draft.

In all seriousness, AJ is #1 with a bullet. Don’t get what the argument against him would be. Probably highest floor and ceiling.

Then Boozer.

Haven’t watched a live game yet this year but the vibe I’m getting is all the tools but just doesn’t impact winning to the same degree of Boozer & Peterson even though he has the highest ceiling of the three.

He literally just went for 29/10/9 on efficient shooting and beat the #6 team in the country last night

2nd best player on the team is now out for the year.

These guys are all great players and most years are the #1 pick. My point is that if Dybantsa isn’t scoring does he impact the game in enough other ways? Watching Boozer last night what impressed me the little things he did, positioning, IQ, passing etc.

When I’ve watched Dybantsa highlights it’s mostly just scoring highlights, which once again is great, he’s an amazing athlete and should be a guy who average 30 in a couple years. But does he do the other stuff?

Yes he’s a good rebounder and good passer

Plays enough defense.

Meanwhile “Darren Peterson” is a strict 2 guard with zero passing ability. No argument for him over either Boozer or AJ whatsoever. Not even sure he’s the best guard prospect.

I think Darryn is hurt. He’s not the same athlete or even position he was in high school. He’s 3 right now. Doubt we say the prolific prep version of him but if we do, that’s a franchise player and that’s what I’m basing my evaluation on.

Some guys just built different. Love the intangibles and leadership that him and Boozer bring.

I’m more asking to be honest. I’ve seen a lot of people saying Dybanysa’s defense isn’t as good as one would hope for all his physical tools. For me, there isn’t enough daylight to be a clear #1 yet, and I haven’t watched enough of Peterson/Dybantsa but feel like situation will matter in terms of who actually ends up going #1.

Dybantsa is a 6’9 wing with great playmaking, elite scoring tools and has the physical tools to be an elite defender. Cam is a 6’9 PF who is probably gonna be a weak defender but a solid offensive hub. Ground bound and no length, but he is strong and smart enough to offset it

I can’t use HS tape to justify DP’s playmaking or athleticism. TBH judging from his hairline and 5’oclock shadow I think he just developed early physically. I’m getting OJ Mayo vibes

Unfortunately for DP his college tape has led to more questions than answers. To take him #1 you’d be doing that based exclusively on the high school tape, and nobody is going to actually do that with both Cam & AJ putting together NPOY campaigns.

Cam/AJ, coin flip. Most people are likely to lean AJ since he looks to have a higher ceiling as an individual scorer, and there’s not a meaningful passing edge between the 2 at this point.

Just don’t think this is the draft where you can afford to overlook some major red flags. Too confident in AJ and Boozer being perennial all-star/all-league talents.
