i ammended my taxes and got my tax credit about a month ago and that money is GONZO!
owed it to my father in law...we still owe him about $14,000
he loaned us enough money to put 20% down on our house taking it out of his line of credit...we are paying him back plus the interest over time

How do you ammend your taxes that you filed for last year? I would like to get my $8000 now instead of waiting until I file for my 2009 taxes. Is there aspecific form to fill out to ammend? Please help me out, thanks.

Are people really buying homes because of a measly 8k? I'm no millionaire and 8k is money but when buying a home 8k is nothing.
If the 8k is the difference between buying a home and not then these people really shouldn't be buying a house.
btw, thank you to all the bozos aiding the feds in artificially propping prices up. You do realize that if you didn't abet the feds in this endeavor thenprices would drop by more than a measly 8k as a result.
