late 90's wrassling was weird to me like in da 80's WCW was always what Go Bots are to Transformers, where I lived at least. I know Rick Flair is legendary but I mean that's how things were, must be regional.

:rofl:like I said must have been regional like your local broadcasters/cable company determined which pro wrestling reigned supreme

People had their preference but everyone I know and talked to watched WWF/WCW and some ECW.

I know a lot people grew up in a bubble and still live in one but you gotta stop assuming/projecting your own bias. Especially in an appreciation thread for the NINTEYS

It was very regional.

If you lived in the NorthEast, WCw/nwa probably wasn't on your radar. It was viewed as, "Southern Rasslin."

People in the South viewed WWF as clown show wrestling. (And rightfully so)

WCW used to be the ish and I'm from the East Coast Newark, NJ. I remember how the kids at my school used to talk about the NWO, DDP, Harlem Heat, Goldberg, Rey Mysterio, etc.

My coworker and I (both grew up in the 90s) had to explain to a younger coworker how communicated before cell phones
dont think he even seen a pay phone
