CRAZY!

What's so crazy to me is, WHO keeps this thing clear? I'm sure somebody's tried to clog it or some animal has fallen in it and gotten stuck. But NOTHING at all is blocking it. Who is keeping it clear???
 
Based on simple kinematic equations, that's about 17,000 feet deep. Of course, this calculation was done with the assumption that the pipe is a vacuum, which is isn't.
