helping out my company put some ideas together for a year-end banquet in 3 weeks, anyone have any good activities for the event? there's going to be raffles, dj, dinner, and liquor, but we need more activities. it's going to be on a yacht from 4-8pm. thanks NT. activities will involve cash prizes, if that helps.

my boss doesn't want it to be just drinking and sitting there. and not everyone in the company drinks. so they wanted some games and activities to get everyone involved.

How many people?

Cards would be good.  Treasure hunt shet, scavenger hunt of some sort. Guess the logo type thing.

Video Games?

4 hours isn't that long seriously.  It'll pass really quick.

about 150 people probably 10 per table, last year we had one person from each table go up to play a game.. i.e. chubby bunny. but this year they wanted more games because some people got bored and just sat there i guess. they basically need activities to get people involved.. probably stuff like you would do in cranium.

hmmmmm....

the last work related "dinner on a boat" event i went to had a magician. tbh, my first instinct was THIS IS FRIGGIN LAME, but i soon changed my tune. the magician was pretty damn awesome and he specialized in close magic (kinda david blaine type of street magic where he wasnt behind a table or curtain or stage or anything). they had a cocktail hour prior out on the deck to dinner service, and the magician would kinda just stroll around from cocktail table to table and do a few tricks here and there. what i thought was going to be a lame act actually ended up being pretty damn fun.

if youre looking for more table oriented "games", you can try to look up different games they play at weddings. a lot of weddings will do some stupid table game where the winner gets to take home the centerpiece. im sure you can modify these games to fit your event (or for the winners to win a prize since im assuming there wont be a centerpiece to take home).

If possible, do sectioned games.  Like they said, something like a casino.  Have table X here, table Y here, and let people wander.
etc.  Its bored when you do mass hysteria games like bingo, you lose people's attention real quick.
