ADIDAS BBall Boost Thread - BYW, Crazy Explosive & Crazy Light & OTHER BBALL ADJACENT SNEAKERS

We could be looking at the greatest Adidas basketball shoe ever here, maybe greatest ball shoe period.  It's still only the third full length Boost basketball shoe if I'm not mistaken.  They haven't really touched the potential yet.

D ROSE ENGLEWOOD BOOST released in Germany

Damn.... those englewoods look like the kyrie 2s pro athletes dads shoe.

Like the kyries were made for marcus and the englewwoods for mj

Those englewoods would have been sick as a gil zero shoe.
The ankle cut out and strap looks very t macish too.

Nike is getting slapped hard this year in the performance arena.

So nice.

Interesting though, solid outsole means you can't see the forefoot boost like the translucent.

Ill take the better traction of solid rubber EVERY TIME over the ability to see tech through the bottom of a shoe. I cant even see it when im wearing them.
I even hate translucent casually.
Sometimes I feel like I spent years skating around because people bought so many og 5s and 11s.

^^^ we usually go at least 5 or 6 good sessions in a shoe, more if something needs a little more inspection. That could take 2 weeks depending on gym time and availability of games.

^ These and pretty much everything else are afterthoughts with the 2016 on deck.  Not even interested in Lillards.

This may seem like a very minor detail to some, but I am very glad to see the traditional tongue vs. one-piece bootie setup.  I think this makes for much better fit/lockdown at the ankle area

Not surprised the new crazylight boosts look like that given this:
Adidas  redraws basketball strategy
Adidas isn't de-emphasizing basketball.

It remains a core part of the company's business with annual sales around $1 billion, including basketball-related sales in other Adidas divisions, Granciosaid.

"We're going to invest more money in basketball over the next five years than we ever have," he said.

The decision to part with the NBA coincides with Adidas' next five-year plan, which will be released in March and run until 2020.

"We thought now was the best time to finalize some key decisions," Granciosaid. "The NBA is a great partner. We think there are bigger opportunities in terms of player marketing and brand marketing."

Grancio  said the new Adidas strategy boils down to getting more Adidas shoes on the feet of "high school kids."

Specifically, Grancio  said Adidas will:
  • Double its roster of NBA players from 70 to 140 by 2020. The company also recently said it wants to sign as many as 250 more NFL players and 250 more Major League Baseball players.
  • Invest more in high schools and college teams. Adidas recently signed apparel deals with Arizona State  and the University of Miami.
  • Improve the look of basketball products with the help of a group of three new basketball designers.
  • Use a new four-person innovation team in basketball to generate ideas.
  • Increase advertising to improve how Adidas "tells stories" for its basketball products.
"We think those investments will enable us to drive a much stronger footwear association with our brand and elevate and drive (market) share."

Grancio  said new-look Adidas basketball products will be available in spring and summer 2016.

"We want to sharpen the edge and be more disruptive," he said. "If I were to describe our products in brief, historically we've been too safe. We want to be much more aggressive in design."
