yeah this is absolutely the worst experience I have had ever. This is why I don't resell because I hear stories about scams all the time. But I was very detailed and careful with this transaction by creating a detailed invoice and stating 100% authentic and keeping ALL my receipts from Nike receipts to shipping receipts to text messages saying the buyer received my item. Somehow I still lost this case, so there was absolutely zero seller protection. Paypal basically did not follow ANY of their rules or guidelines for their "Seller Protection Policy". I did everything they asked me to do but I still lost the case. I am just extremely confused by the final decision by Paypal. They're literally enabling scamming.

And yeah their reps are terrible, ones telling me one thing meanwhile the claims specialists deciding another. 3 of those 4 reps very specifically said "if the buyer does not send back the original item in the original condition, REST ASSURE that they will NOT refund the buyer", yet they refunded the buyer anyway when I called and provided photo evidence of an empty box returned back to me.
Damn that's terrible fam. Sorry to hear that

My first pair of boosts :pimp:

vinotwofour vinotwofour They didn't ask you to file a police report ? I did it , it went easy

Paypal? No they didn't ask me to file one. They just kept asking me to submit evidence which I did and they reassured me several times in each call that I would be "safe and protected because I have compelling evidence", but like I said, their phone customer service reps are different from the decision making Claims Specialists. Paypal's claims specialists are basically the ones screwing me over and their phone customer support reps are the ones that are telling me things I want to hear but they're the ones without any power and not doing anything to help my case.

People can be scumbags, don't understand why others think they're entitled to someone else's property and that they don't have to pay for it

Hope karma bites them in the a**

Dude this honestly sucks

Paypal worst company in the game, the actual problem is they have a sort of monopoly over the electronics transactions .

I thought that when you appealed that was the regular conduct, asking for a police report

For this reason is why people should start recording the packing process and unpacking process for future evidence. Unnecessary work, but it's peace of mind.

yeah Paypal doesn't accept video recordings because they claim videos can be altered/edited to work out in your favor. Not to mention, they said that video files are too large to be sent out to Paypal to be reviewed. I've asked and I've tried, they denied me of my video evidence. I have security cameras set up so I have video evidence of post man dropping off the package and me recording it on my phone and on my security cameras of me weighing the package and opening the package to find an empty box.

Well then photos wouldn't work either because you could just photoshop or take a picture of an empty box? So, if the difference in return weight isn't clearly enough evidence then I don't see how a police report will make PayPal do anything more.

Who cares as long as they put my money back, and they did so ... At least in my case I was saved otherwise oh boy I would have sued those mofos

They completely clowns

it feels like Paypal ignored ALL my evidence in this entire case. I've uploaded 21 pieces of evidences from screenshots, emails, text messages, tracking/delivery confirmation, shipping labels to pictures of item and packaging and anything I could possibly use. Paypal has not sided with me at all despite my evidence. I honestly don't know what a police report will do at this point. Just a $250 lesson to NEVER sell through paypal again. Also a lesson in that Paypal is an open invitation and advocating of buyers scams.

That does suck. Definitely taking the advice to stay away from PayPal and eBay for selling, thats for sure. Sucks people have to get the lesson the hard way but it is appreciated that the info is shared here.

I work for a large company at their phone center. I can say that what one service rep knows and offers as a solution to a customer may not be known by the next service rep. Its unfortunate that luck of the draw plays a part in the type of service you get but dems da breaks.

yeah I don't ever recommend selling through Paypal. Not even gifted payments or even detailed invoices. Because my invoice to the buyer was as detailed as possible. I did everything I could to protect myself but Paypal did not provide any seller protection and have ignored all my evidence.

There has to be something you can include in the invoice that will protect the seller as well...sorry to hear that Vino.

yeah I helped my brother sell a pair of shoes. 2 months later the buyer claimed item was fake. I provided original receipts and even emails from nike proving authenticity. Paypal decides in buyers favor and requires the buyer to ship back the shoes. Buyer ships back an empty box, I contact paypal and they ask me to submit more evidence (my original shipping receipt shows 4lbs, the buyer sent back an empty box with the label indicating 1lb). Sent over this evidence, and Paypal STILL sided with the buyer and refunded the money back to the buyer. I've spoke with 4 different Paypal customer service representatives all throughout the claim from beginning to the end and provided any and every evidence I could and each time the representative reassured me that I'm likely to win. And every email I get from Paypal the following day, is telling me I lost the case.
Luckily I've never had this problem after the dozens of ebay/paypal invoice transactions that I've gone thru. It sucks tho because sellers get no protection. You can literally film yourself picking up the package from the UPS guy and do an unboxing and you still would lose the case.

...and that is why I love my Chase Sapphire Preferred card. When PayPal gives me the shaft, I contact Chase and they reimburse me with the quickness.

This is also the reason why you sell shoes through approved apps. Earn less money, but so much risk eliminated.

Looks like those "Wool Grey 3.0s" went with the quickness.

there literally isn't anything you can say or do that will make Paypal protect you as a seller. My invoice included "shoes are 100% authentic with original receipt from Nike.com. No refunds or exchanges after the item is received. All documents and evidence will be properly recorded as seller protection insurance. Any chargebacks and/or claim that item is not received or unauthentic is considered fraud and will be reported to the proper authorities as well as Paypal".

Paypal didn't even look at my invoice details as evidence when I submitted it.

I can't get reimbursed if I'm the seller. I have tons of cards that offer me buyer's protection too when a merchant or a seller deal goes sour. But thats different from this siutation

yeah I've done a fair share of ebay/paypal invoice transactions too and I've seen a lot of it done on my brother's account and we've never had anything like this happen because we're always careful and extremely meticulous on the selling process.
