Some other info for the people who keep asking:
No confirmed app for these, sadly.
Yeezy Mafia has said these would be limited, and now is saying there will be a ton of them. Completely switched stories so no idea which is true (what else is new. Only guaranteed thing is whether they are limited or not, they will brag afterwards they were 100% correct and broke it first).
Thus far word is the greens are most limited of these, but none will be as limited as the yellows (this is a signal you should cop the yellows if you want an investment for the future). Word is black has the most stock, which is why retailers seem to be pushing those the most (like the white XR1s in the NMD day drop)
$240 price tag for each. Sounds steep but these are pricier shoes to make for the elements in them.
Each shoe comes with the pair of laces on them and an alternate colored pair, which is why you see stock images of the blacks with yellow laces.
This is a big release for Adidas because it will help determine whether these have a future like the Yeezys. Even with the Pharrell and NMD name behind them, Adidas was pleasantly surprised at the level of success of the Human Race yellows.
So far, these are the easiest shoes to spot fakes of because the level of detail in them is so high. Way too many elements to reproduce correctly SO FAR (they'll get there though).

I agree it's definitely a bit odd to do out of the gate with such a new shoe. For us buyers also forcing us to make some choices.
Only thing I can think is they wanted to release these now for some reason (perhaps 4th quarter 2016 estimates for their stock shareholders) and it's the height of Yeezy Szn so they needed to make a splash to get people talking about them. Mission accomplished if that's the case.

Some other thoughts that I have:
The Pharrell collab is definitely interesting cause the design & style are unique. But every time I watch the vids or ads etc, I get this touchy feely urban hipster vibe. Know that's very cynical.
The mega sized verbage is distracting/off to me. Because of the lacing system, when I see the right foot blue one all I think is "Huma"(n)-the Corrupt Grandma's chief aide.
When I see the red & green ones "Hu"-it's a Chinese surname. Not ours so try explaining that to Family. I liked that unreleased friends/family one with actual Chinese characters.
That price point is above yzy, special jordans and foamposite level. WTF?!

Oh I completely agree. I like the shoe because style-wise it is completely unlike anything I've seen up to this point, but the message of us all uniting as human beings holding hands across the world gets a tad lost when the price point reaches $240.
I'll rock the hell out of these, but you won't catch me walking up to a humanitarian organization, pointing down at my $240 shoes, and then say, "Hey, just doing my part to make this world a better place."
