I was real clueless about the kid yeezys, didn't know they were individually customized to each person, thought there were customized designs in place and they just put saint or norths name on the side 
I know it sounds dumb now that I think about it

I'm pretty sure they were cancelling anything like that, I saw a few screen shots of e-mails saying "You can't choose that name, try again".
I ordered on 7/21, also for my son. Really looking forward to seeing them in person as well. Will be his first birthday present and he can wear them after he gets done smearing cake all over his face. I'll probably keep them forever and tell him that they were his first shoes when he gets older.

A joke? I wasn't buying these as an art project for my kid, I just liked them. Are you planning on making fun of my toddler son?
Talk about asinine things to get worked up about. I hope your kid has a fun time drawing on their Yeezys. To each his own.

He's saying why pay for another person to customize your kids pair of shoes with child drawings when they can do it theirselves and it would be a lot more personal

I know what he was saying... It's just ridiculous to respond to "Hey Guys I'm excited to get these for my kid" with "that's dumb, I bought my kid different Yeezys and we're doing something not dumb"
Come on...
Also, if that's the only path that makes sense, why doesn't everyone just buy cream Yeezys and triple white ub's and do their own customizations? It's more personal that way...

He wasn't attacking you, just stating he didn't care for the idea of letting them do it over the idea of letting his child do it. He thinks the idea is dumb, not people are dumb for ordering them. At least that's my interpretation

You're right about that. It's just a bummer for people to be excited and have other people from a "community" hop on just to trash that. Wouldn't bother me if it was for me or for resell or something, just a new father so didn't like hearing it about anything to do with the kid. But, I guess that's the internet.

I hear you, but nah, not really. Saying "this is what i'm going to do with my kid" is cool, i like that. Saying "that's dumb, those shoes you bought for your kid are a joke, here's what i'm doing" is messed up.
