Haven't had any issues w/ laces shredding on my 700s and I've worn them a lot, but I also don't lace them up to that final/extra hole that brings the laces lower/closer to your foot.

Yep. Top two holes on my Waverunners’ left shoe tugged threads out of my laces. Thought I just unlucky.

I’m gonna go ahead and say I have the most beat up wave runner and besides the black midsole paint I don’t have any complaints about the materials and no lace problems either and I have the laces going through every hole.
