ok so 500s came in today. initial thoughts...

1. whoever said to go .5 up was right!
2. these look alot better in hand than online
3. quality is top notch
4. these look like a damn loaf of bread on foot
5. if u thought 700s were too bulky, run far away from these!
6. 700s were THE most comfy yeezys up until now!
7. 500 is FUGLY, yet a beautiful work of art at the same damn time
8. 500 is the KING of dad shoes...

What’s considered a dad shoe?? This saying needs to stop it’s so damn corny .. wtf is a dad shoe?? Nobody’s damn dad is wearing these.. just because some of the new sneakers have a thicker sole don’t mean you have to call it a dad shoe smh.. it’s just a new style that’s all please stop with this dad shoe

Stay TTS on both. Ordered half a size down on the 700's and they fit a bit snug but TTS on the 500's and they fit great. Same size as my V2's.

I have really wide feet and wear TTS 11.0 in OG AJ1 (my favorite shoes, I have a bunch of pairs) and these 500s fit me well in 11.0. If I went with an 11.5, I think these would fit like boats tbh.

by dad shoe, i'm talking more about the shape and the awkward look. it's wide and kinda bulky. almost like some old folks rockport walking shoes.. which is why i said they look like a loaf of bread on foot. like i said i hate them and love them at the same time. the black pair is a must tho...

i'm a dad, so the term "dad shoes" doesn't bother me.
i have a pretty ridiculous amount of heat so i figure a "dad shoe" or 2 can't/won't hurt my street cred.

listen man, we didn't coin the term. we just running with it. everyone is entitled to their opinion and u think it's corny and that's fine, but who really cares. it's not that serious. of all the things u could be griping about within today's society, the term "dad shoes" is what gets to you the most?

Yeah, as a 43-year-old dad myself, let's just say that the other dads I meet at practices/my kids' school wouldn't touch 500's w/ a 10-foot pole b/c, frankly, they're weird-looking. Bulbous. Not particularly sleek or unobtrusive. Those of us in my age range don't generally go for bold looks as we go to Home Depot and our kids' baseball games.

And these things are, um, bold.

700's are different.

I Can Say Now With True Certainty That TTS Is The Way To Go For This Release (Nice Tight Fit). I Tried To Go .5 Down Like I Did In The 700’s And That’s Definitely Not Doable In These I Can See Those With Wider Feet Preferring .5 Up Too.
