Adidas's Biggest Mistake: Michael Jordan Says It Could Of Been Adidas Not Nike!

Actually, Adidas did promote Kobe. Commercials, Asia Tours, ads, and the whole deal. The KobeTwo was the stake in the heart for the Kobe/Adidas marriage.

But... You have to remember that Nike can market people better.

Adidas can't market for *!#@.
qft

Look at this year's playoffs.
Nike goes all out with its LeBron-Kobe puppet campaign.
Dwight Howard make's it to the finals and Adidas doesn't make him a single commercial.
yeah... but dont some of yall think that Jordan HELPED Nike make all that money back in the day to do what they were doing through out the years...
do you think that Nike would be were they are at now without MJ?... would they have been able to do what they wanted to do without MJ bringing in all that extra money?...

Its funny you mention this a few years ago i was talking to a couple of high up the totem pole employees of nike. Make a long story short we argued aboutJordan impact on Nike. And this guy had the nerve to say Nike made Jordan and that they were already on the verge of being a global dominate company beforeJordan came into play. I gave them the

and then the

You're absolutely right about them havin the horses. KG, Duncan, T-Mac(when he was hot), and now Rose? they could be making a killing

Its like sayin the Rockets would have won 6 championships instead of 2 if they drafted him.

Imagine if Money wore Adidas while playin in Houston.

Red/ Yellow Shelltoes ain't whats up.

None of those guys are marketable.

KG and Duncan are big men and traditionally, big men signature shoes don't fly off shelves. T-Mac has seen better days as we've seen his signaturesget pushed commercially a couple years back but he's nowhere near the player he once was.

Rose doesn't have a marketable personality. Dude is a quiet as a church mouse. When do you ever see this dude crack a smile or joke with a teammate?

Adidas' real potential star is Arenas and they tried to pump money into his shoes but 1) they're aesthetically ugly and 2) this dude stays injured. Kinda hard to campaign a cripple who hasn't seen the court in more than a year.

Adidas has soccer on lockdown so globally, they're doing well.

extremely well i believe...
when it comes to soccer football: adidas > Nike by a landslide of epic proportions...

The Adidas Gil-Zero was a big seller. The Adidas KG 1, that came out in 2004 (the shoes he wore during his MVP season, and T'Wolves playoff run) were a bigseller as well. The T-Mac 1, 2, and 5 were a big seller too.
