adult braces

I have permanent brackets behind my teeth. Sucks at time when they get lose but im going to get braces again since my teeth shifted.

^^ have a permanent bracket on my top 2. Had a slight gap & the orthodontist hooked me up with it No complaints about it other than I notice the cement on the baxk of the teeth

Wore braces in my early 20s. Greatest decision I ever made.

Had a huge front gap - Michael Strahan type. Now have brackets on top front four and bottom.

However, wisdom teeth shifting lowers. I HATED retainers, and really never wore them as I should.

I had them when I was a kid, I remember ALWAYS ruining them, somehow. So many times a wire would come off and just start poking me :x

I don't remember how long I had them for, but my teeth now look like I never had braces and I need them. I remember walking into my last appointment and the dentist telling me I could get them off if I wanted to, I obviously said hell yes. I remember my mom asking how he would allow that, since they didn't look great yet..looking back at it, the dentist should not have even thought about taking them off, he was awful..

I'm fine with it though, since it's just my bottom teeth that are bad.

Getting double jaw surgery pretty soon.

I paid $3,000 out of pocket after the insurance for mine.

I have invisalign. Im on tray 13 of 30, almost halfway there and I can see some major changes so far. I've always had bad teeth, but always put it off as a kid.

I actually started the process in high school, but my dad's insurance was cut off when he got laid off. So I had to stop the future appointments.

I can't wait until I'm finished and have straight teeth. One of the few things I've been ashamed of. But all will be good in less than a year.

Gotta take advantage of the healthcare, this is my first real job out of college, so finally I can afford to have them and paid upfront as well. I hate making payments.

For those that got braces did you guys wait until you got your wisdom teeth pulled? Right now I got two up top coming in and once they're pulled I'll be considering braces

I was 28 when I got mine... I got them taken off a few months before I was 30.... Currently still wearing retainers all the time until I hit 6 months before I can switch to Nights only.

Worst part of braces was the extra effort required to floss

Funny this thread comes up, I go today for my invisliagn x-ray for my first set of trays. I'm 32, and I couldn't take the gaps on my teeth anymore. Sucks that I'm paying all out of pocket and my insurance doesn't cover any of it

I remember it suck getting braces back in middle school. Having no control over mymonth with them drilling/placingthe braces on my teeth and can only think now being high how the pain would feel.

Couldn't even eat my burger from BK  just had to look at it 

But for real it's not horrible, I wouldn't add anything extra but getting blazed for you may work with the improvement in technology over the years.

Got braces in may of 2015, my teeth were JACKED and it's crazy to see what I have so far, it was estimated for 2 years so we'll see if that holds true in 4 months
