Air force 180 and Air flight 89

I really like both these shoes and they're really cheap on ebay so I was planning on getting a pair or two. Anyone on NT tried these on?


How do they fit and little performance detail please. Thanks nt

I'll assume you mean the 180s from 92, rather than 2006?

OGs were nothing to write home about in terms of heel and forefoot cushioning.
Retros have a different air unit inside them, doubt it's an improvement. Sizing was true to big in the day.


89s are cheap for a reason - the forefoot cushioning is dead. Sizing is a little on the small side.
If you're going to buy these, have some replcement insoles ready.

I've used the Air Flight 89's a couple times outdoor. Traction is decent and they feel pretty stable. I haven't rolled my ankle except for that onetime when I landed on something. It was really dark outside so it's pretty much my fault for wanting to play ball in such conditions. Cushioning is prettyhard but decent. I haven't had shin splints or anything of that sort after pick-up games. But I'd rather use my 89's for casual wear and theocassional sudden pick-up games.
