Get better pics of the side profile and the back of the shoes..
 
The US-based pairs I picked up had a diff style of the shoe tree (bottom tree) ... but even for my other 1s (size 8.5US) with that style of tree the sizing range imprinted is 8.5-10

@aliph... not sure the  tree 'checks out'. i think the shoe trees belong to a different shoe not the 8.5 per the box tag. this doesn't mean the pair is fugazi but if the seller is misrepresenting the tree then there is a chance there are other aspects of the purchase s/he is not being forthright about -- how much actual wear the pair has, heel drag (hopefully you asked for pics to varify the soles), etc.
 
Added insoles and tongue tag. Thanks alot hope can get to the bottom of this. Spiraled lace bag looks good don't they?
