When I was in HS and only had like 5 pairs of kicks.. I would clean my shoes after every wear.. now that would make me feel like I'm running a sneaker cleaning business lol. I just take care of them when I wear them and I have so much that they pretty much always look good.

I will wipe some stuff away but I'm not cleaning soles. To add on to this, whenever I sold shoes on eBay I would get praises about how my description was so accurate that at times people thought the shoes in hand were even better than I described them.. that is to say that if I wore them 2X's .. I didn't hide it because I never clean bottoms. (Doesn't mean that I think anyone who cleans them does BTW.. dude with the III's is doing an impossibly impressive job).

seeing yall rock concords makes me jelly... now i want to unds mines.. im waiting for a clear day out to rock to work...

if you didnt tell me you wore those white 3s 10 times i would think they are DS... i use to clean my shoes in high school after every wear... i do the same thing today even with a few hundred pairs... the only difference is i dont clean the bottom...i want my shoes to look crisp but dont care for the bottom because they are going to touch the ground again anyway when i wear them... i always get compliments on how clean my shoes look and they think they are new but in reality they are a few years old... i also take care of my shoes so when its time to resell i get good value back

I clean my shoes when they get to a point that I decide I want to clean them. Could be after three wears, could be after 20. Totally depends on what mood I'm in and how they look. But I can't imagine cleaning every pair after every wear, every day. I don't have anywhere near the motivation or patience for that. I like keeping my stuff in good shape but ultimately they are still shoes. And no way I'm bothering myself with scrubbing the bottom of soles every day, just so they can get dirty again the minute I wear them outside again LOL

Everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Having over 40 pair of shoes and only 2 feet is a bit much to some. All of my clear sole/white bottom shoes get the same treatment. Black bottoms are just a mere wipe off. I don't like the look of white midsoles/bottoms when they are dirty.

Even when I seen shoes on eBay. I clean the bottoms. That right I pluck every pebble, rock, and clean chewing gum stain, dirt smudge away. Just can't sell somebody something looking nasty. Shucks I ask sellers to clean the sole of shoes before I buy them if needed....lol

^ its actually easy to clean shoes...i cleaned 5 pairs yesterday in 15 minutes... 2 of them i just used wipes and the other 3 i cleaned the mid soles with a foam cleaner... if its a suede sneaker i use microfiber cloth to clean the scuffs... it doesnt take much time at all to clean really... i have a rotation of 5-8 pairs for 2 weeks i wear often... before going to a new rotation and putting back in the box i clean them

I typically don’t clean the bottom of my shoes but in the case of the Concord and an Infrared 6 I cleaned those to help minimize the yellowing effect on those soles. Otherwise dirty the sole up.

good point. i guess exceptions can be made for those clear soled joints

Which replace laces for Space Jam's you'd recommend? I bought some off ebay but they're a bit thinner and looking for the exact same ones or closest ones

Thanks

Just for fun: wasn't looking to revisit the "what constitutes a real Space Jam 11" discussion from a few days back. But I happened to see this new @MJO23DAN vid. Check it at the 5:08 mark. The only thing not making the 2016s 100-percent Jams is the number on the heel. That's IT. The 2000 and 2009 pairs are just a made-up colorway inspired by the movie. But they're just wrong, frankly
2016s are definitely the '95 PEs. But they are also by far the closest retail release to the shoes actually worn in the damn movie. Can't wait to hear the arguments LOL

the worn pair is amazing.

A pro hooping in the concords. I just can't stop admiring these on the basketball court, the way the arena lights reflect off the patent leather. It's like shoe porn

Anyone have any tips on how to make the white mesh area fresh and white again?

I had a bit of dirt on the upper, nothing too bad but decided to give them a good scrub. I dissolved some Oxyclean in warm water wand took to them with a brush.

The Oxyclean when it hit the edge of the patent leather caused the edging of the PL to turn a greenish color (normal after drying) but some of that green-ish color bled into the mesh while they were drying.

Ever since I've been trying to scrub away at the mesh with a Mr Clean magic eraser and some shout wipes - it helped a bit but the upper is definitely all dingy and just off-colored.

Got a second pair on the way but resale is over $300 in my size (12.5) so was hoping I could restore the dirty upper on these and save the second pair for a year or two from now.
