It's going to be like this for a while, and I'm cool with it. I got no problem waiting for any Jordan I want to go on deep discount.
Jordan Brand don't ring the way it used to, unless it's a collab that the kids can relate to. They relate to the collaborating artist more than they relate to Michael Jordan at this point, because Jordan is no longer an omnipresent public figure, nor has he been for 20 years. Phrases like "It's an OG colorway tho" mean nothing really at this point because Nike never really educated the next generation, and whenever an OG talk to these kids about lore it sounds like the teacher in Charlie Brown to them
Once that Jordan 1 High/Jordan 4 wave ended, that might have been all she wrote for a while. Everything has its hey day and there's always a new generation coming up, looking to find their own things.

Finally got a chance to look at my SD pair after being away with the fam. QC looks decent, a little nitpicky here and there, but passable. Will see how the other pair my wife ordered for me looks if I decide to keep them or return or keep both
Edit: definitely notice what Nightwing mentioned in his review about the compound of the polyurethane midsole being softer than all the previous recent retro 3s. Should add to the comfort
