AIR JORDAN 3 BLACK CEMENT - NOVEMBER 23, 2024

Saw a guy at the gym today with BCs. From a distance (like across the gym) I could tell the model, but from 20 feet away I could see the rolled over tongue and high and bold EP, plasticky UV-coated pleather, and banana shape of the '18s. Looks brand new so probably one of those who prefer that year.

To each their own, but I was wearing my '24s and it was night and day to me. Most humans would think we're nuts for even thinking these are so diff, but that's the life of a hobbyist of anything really.

I’m doubling up.

I tried them on, looked down at my feet and didn’t see a pair monarchs, which is all I saw with my ‘18 pair, and were sold. Wore them for two days then realized one shoe has the thinner print, oh f’in well. I love these

I’m at the point of my life where I don’t even care if/when my shoes get dirty. I try not to destroy them until the next retro is on the horizon. So honestly, the whole matching elephant print doesn’t really bother me too much.

Don’t get me wrong though - I still bought 3 pairs and will pick out the best pair, and its reward will be that they will get worn a lot, and eventually retire as a winter boot or lawn mowing shoe. Shoes are expendable to me. I’m not trying to be a curator of a shoe museum.

Another one added but it's LN4M...👀

Will enjoy beating this pair up no doubt 💯

It's crazy to think I only had intentions of buying just 1 pair due to those terrible early leaks / fakes from months ago (indicating zero similarities of the reimagined WC) & forsake of it being the OG black cement colorway but now with these pairs in hand, I can say this release has definitely been arguably at the top of the list for me so far this year... Thankyou to the LNM/ LN4M factories out there !! 😂😂😂

I think this one is better than the first.

Had no idea there were differences between which factories these came from. I honestly don’t mind the EP variation/shape (and can’t even really tell until I stare at them 😅). But I think I’ll keep the China one just because I like the matte finish. Here are some side by sides for reference.

that difference in leather is too much, working in the engineering industry the leather has completely different topcoat materials applied - given how much AJ3 releases NIke has gone through already these past few years, this level of QC defects is absolutely unacceptable.

Sometimes it’s just hard to see people posting about glue stains. I’m just not sure wat people expect sometimes. And I totally get wanting a perfect pair

I mean....you're on the most legendary sneaker forum filled with sneaker enthusiasts. :nthat:

This is THE place for people to complain, analyze, critique, and over obsess with all things sneakers.

For me personally, I like to look at these 6 areas or lines... 😅😂

1. EP sharp angle towards the midsole (perpendicular to the outsole around toe where it rises)

2. Low even EP perpendicular to the outsole horizontal

3. Toe rand flat as possible (little to no slope from toe to rear EP panel)

4. Rear EP panel over extending the cross section between white/ black midsole. Creates an optical illusion of similar lines of the bump in the midfoot area.

5. Middle eyelet panel lining up with the tip of the heel

6. Overall shape of uppers from toe to heel/ collar (no infamous banana)
