Upon closer inspection, it's possible that gold is woven into the red stitching on the upper and speckled on the plastic mud guard. Seems odd to make it part of the colorway if it's just on the laces.

Got my FIBA’s in from the lapstone sale. The piece that’s known for breaking off seems/appears much sturdier/firmer than the last pair I had.

I think I don’t like the look as much when they make that edge of the eyestay and going down to the start of the toebox a different color on some of these colorways. Having that colored line running down the sides of the shoe is unnecessary.

I’m sure there will be PE playoffs but we won’t get them. Only the aqua is releasing. I guess you can say the fundamental are close to the bugs colorway.

The releases are on page 1. Not saying others won’t release but I’d bet money the aqua is the only og we get.

We never get the og colorway that releases as a retro that same year. I know that could change, but I think we woulda known already if we were getting a playoff.

Look at the cardinal 7 last year, no cardinal 37.

Carmine 6 the year before. No carmine 36.

They wouldnt be able to replicate carmines on the 36 since it is all one material. Color block has to fit the shoe style. The 38 would be easy to do a Playoff 8 colorway
