Mike is miserable there having to wake up to take time out his day for those little bastards.
With his core fans already crossed over to washed territories, some adult fun activities [no diddy] for fans is due w/ Mike showing face and giving time to the day 1s. They the ones who kept the retro game going. Then they turned the kids into fiends like they were at the same age. They the ones still buying up the new versions despite the namesake not even playing. The ones still calling him goat.
That said about day 1s, NT is 25 later this year iiirc. Every startup shop & new hotness gets a collab these days. Who got the juice to get NT x JB to the right desk?

Switching models in the playoffs isn’t what most guys are gonna be comfortable with regardless of the quality of the shoe. Probably contractually obligated to throw them on once but didn’t give them a stockpile of pairs and no incentive to keep wearing em right now
