Is there a reason why Jordan doesnt stick to the original durabuck material?
 
I'm not giving up hope that they'll correct these. But seeing how they butchered the fire reds and militaries, my chances might be slim. My fingers are crossed

Well, they screwed us on the Infrareds, Black/Metallic Vs, and Black/Red XIIs by making them nubuck. Yet the VIIs that just dropped are durabuck. They just do what they want since they know the shoe will sell out regardless. I'm not buying, but others don't really care about the difference.

They probably think they're doing you a favor. Durabuck is a synthetic material and nubuck is an actual leather. I'm with you guys though. I think durabuck looks cleaner on basketball shoes.
 
i can only believe a few cats have owned and rocked the actula durabuck pairs they speak of.

the rest of you teeny boppers are just spewing out what youve heard older heads say.

Wow, I didn't realize durabuck was a synthetic material. I agree that it does look cleaner on basketball shoes, though. Nubuck just looks like a dark, hairy sock. You can't see the details of the shoe. Plus it gets those bald spots and collects dust and lint too easily.
 
It's funny how a lot of you like the Cav IV's, but are doing nothing but complaining about it with these, and will still buy them.

With all this complaining these should be easier to get than the Charcoals.

Durabuck is natural and synthetic. Sort of like a cotton blend shirt for example.

This always happens seems like 70% of people hate shoes then there lined up day in advance....I swear Jordan could release annnything on Black friday and kids would line up just for that black friday craze.

All of us know this won't be the case, because most of these people complaining will still buy them.

I've learned my lesson from the varsity red VI's, I'm not buying anything else I'm not satisfied with. Because I take those out once a year to "try" and like them and end up wondering why I even bothered. The only thing I can say positive is at least I didn't wait in line or pay over retail for them.
 
Cav IV's came out awesome. O ye of little faith, get your belief up! JB's not gonna let us down on this shoe.

I just have that feeling. 
 
OK...but werent the CDP IV horrible quality wise? WIll these be a step up or is it too early to tell?
 
I have been keeping my eye out for a nice wearable used '99 Bred pair. My first 99 pair I beat to death and my second pair I got a couple wears out of them but ended up selling them to a player on the ATL Falcons because they were a size too big. I refuse to buy a pair of the CDP 4's unless a I find a DS pair for a great price (because all size 13's are just priced outrageously!). I've seen too many midsole paint chipping problems to spend alot of money on these. If copped I would immediately have the midsoles stripped and repainted correctly to prevent midsole paint chipping. There's nothing like '99 Nike Air Bred IV though..all other IV's just fall short :smh:. Durabuck>Nubuck when it comes to the OG c/w breds, but being that this is my favorite Jordan shoe of all time I'm going to cop the 2012s regardless. I definitely won't be rocking em with shorts though due to those horrendous built in shin guards lol

The 99 IV's only retailed for $99..man I'm getting old lol :smh:
