I said I wouldn’t mind a leather 5, in this thread. That shiny stuff on that sample is a no go for me.

I think the 4s came out pretty well. If done tastefully, and they also give us what we want, too… I don’t see the issue.

Hell no MJ himself could tell me I'm wrong but im still trippin for da leather sauce. Lol I've always kinda hated shoes that are nubuck and ashy. I remember the black infrared 6 2014 was so bad if you breathe on em they'd scuff . **** that material

Hot take: I would be fine with this leather being used on the ankle collar portion and the usual nu-durabuck for the rest of the upper for the next proper OG release.
Would allow them to imitate that leather-like sheen the collars had due to the Durabuck on the OGs.

The early samples of the '16 Metallics had a two tone upper with a collar that tried to imitate the look of the OGs by using a different, smoother texture material than the rest of the upper but the feature was scrapped on retail pairs.

BIN series was trash. Best pair was the 2s (to me) which isn’t saying much.

Had the side netting been different on the 5s, I might’ve felt differently.
