they have somehow seen this photo scan from an old catalog and thought itd be great to retro a lesser known OG colorway and they finally did something right?im guessing its just a coincidence and they never really had plans for that.

More than likely it's the ones in the sneaker freaker issue. That catalog pic is old meaning it's an early production pic.
