The black mesh and the fake 3m creates the illusion of a purple look when bright light is shining off it. There is nothing purple about the mesh it's black.

In your opinion.
The 3M replacement underlay to the mesh should not affect the color of the entire mesh paneling. Every square inch of it has the same tint to it, even the flap sown under that gives the mesh it's shape.
I'm telling you, its the dye they used, that Reflective replacement may have helped, but that's not the entire reason.
