^Hell no, that was a big lie that was flying around.
Matter of fact basic was just lengthened to 8.5 weeks because new recruits are learning basic combat skills.
14.5 years and counting.
To me AF is the best but they all have their respective perks. AF definitely has a higher standard of living.

This was why I joined the Army and not the Marine Corps....bunch of stuck-up folks. The militia that protected towns predating the Revolution and theContinental Army were the nucleus of what? Oh right, the US Army. Not that the Corps had medics anyway...but I digress.
