Amazon Prime ADDICT

I'd have to say being naïve/not paying attention. If you see the amount and hit that "One Click" button it's over

Bought 2x of these lamps for my desk.

Amazon product ASIN B01M0M8TME
Bought these smart multicolor light bulbs for the lamps & possibly might buy a few more for my bedroom. It's a lot cheaper than phillips hue or LIFX, but probably not a good or high tech as those bulbs. Not a big deal to me since I just use it as a mood/dimmed light.

Amazon product ASIN B00OH4G8IS
Cheaper here: https://eshop.macsales.com/item/Elgato/10027700/

Also grabbed a multi color remote controlled backlight for the TV. Currently just have a white one, but since I'm goin multicolor with everything, might as well do the TV too.

Got a Divoom Timebox coming in as well. It's a pretty awesome smart clock.

I plan to backlight my desk and possibly bed soon. Hopefully to be able to make it look something like this...

I've got Prime and we love the convenience but I feel it leads to unnecessary purchases sometimes whereas without Prime having to hit that free shipping threshold I was less inclined to impulse buying.

:lol I was wondering who falls for that crap. Now we know.

I'm guessing that was implied to me. There was a typo in my post I meant to say ebay :lol

will edit now :lol

Why would you buy from anything just launched though? It's simple, if it's not direct Amazon, seller should have atleast a 98% rating with over 50 transactions. And that's being easy.

it may be that simple to you but not all people are savy when it comes to detecting scammers on legit sites like amazon. I read a few articles that states they are making a killing on scams because by the time amazon catches them and remove them it takes nearly a month since they state they are in china and normally takes 4 weeks to have anything shipped to the states.

By that time the seller already had his fake item up for a month. :x

My favorite feature by far is the Amazon locker...
Never miss a package. You choose the location. Never gotta worry about having to go pick it up at UPS or FedEx.

I live in the hood, so I don't need the delivery guy to be leaving my ish in the hallway
oh **** I forgot about this! There's a box too at my work. Bless you repped

You guys should've posted about them last week. I ordered the amazon basics lightning cable last week and like it. Will try the anker stuff when I need more cables.

I combo them with the Anker charger:

I've got the Aukey brand braided joints. May have to get some more flexible ones for the car cause they're so rigid

That's one of my next goals is to have chargers in multiple places in the house so I'm not and guests are scrambling for chargers all the time

So those don't go bad like every other Charger does ? Y'all know apple just want people using exclusive apple products

They used to have one at my Dunkin Donuts. That's pretty damn brilliant.

I want the Hue, but that damn starter kit that you must purchase always dissuades me. Figure I'll invest in lighting that deeply when I move into something I'm buying.

The TP-Link bulbs are decent for the price, though. Had a $10 credit too, so only ended up spending $17. Might test out their colored lights with my ceiling fan.

Are you connected via Alexa, too?

The ability to dim without having to rewire anything is a game changer, too.

Dope setup by the way.

I totally understand man... that initial buy-in is an investment for sure.

I dont use alexa.

Connects w/ apple home kit / siri tho which is cool.

So i just swipe up on my phone and can control the lights from there.

Yeah Amazon locker is pretty cool. In the DMV we have Amazon@College Park too, an official location close by you can go pick up your stuff. They stock some items so same day is possible.

I staaaayyy w/ the Philips Hue lighting system.

Controlling the colors of the lights throughout my house with my phone is :hat :hat :hat :hat :hat

It also pretty much turns my house into a product photography set

nice hue set up. I am well invested in the hue system as well all throughout my house :smoking

yea that initial investment getting it started hurts but its neat but not a necessary thing to have in the house.

When company comes over and never seen someone control their lights with their smart phone people instantly start calling my house iron man house. I control locks my tvs etc.
