It's always a scary feeling. This and the tv alert system. But I think it's a good idea to tell everyone what's going on. Obviously not everyone is going to be able to be the hero. But it's good to be aware.

how come this happens alot in SF

This happened in Oakland. But I know what you mean, there are numerous reports of people missing from SF.

The dude who ran Bay to Breakers went missing and they found his clothes and wallet folded near Ocean beach or the kid who was recovering from a brain injury suddenly disappearing after telling his parents that he was going to walk to his friend's house.

Pretty scary.

This happened right down the stutter from my house. All day and night they had cop cars goingn up and down the street and. Helicopter on the loudspeaker searching and announcing a description of the car.

what makes you think something is wrong? It was 2 simple questions. Back in the day before amber alerts you found out from milk cartons and news broadcasts and if you saw more than one in a day you didn't walk around "like a sniper at war". I dont understand the sentiments in here.

You don't understand how someone could be very alert about helping find a missing person after receiving an alert on their phone?

i don't get what you have issue with.

There are missing people, and citizens willing to contribute to the finding of these missing people, and you seem to have a problem with that.
