...And Then There Was X Appreciation Vol. The Forgotten Classic

Personally, this was one of the most disappointing albums of all-time. X was that dude and you could make a claim that he held the "crown" so tospeak.

There were some decent cuts on the album but nothing makes me want to sit through this whole album from beginning to end.
Definitely the first signs that X was falling off.

Co-sign. I hate when people talk about him being the GOAT hardcore rapper.

It was obvious sarcasm, and if you re-read what was said it said "hold their own" meaning up there with or equal to and not "hisfirst 3 were better then any other first 3 albums". See the difference? Dude's need to relax out here a bit.

I didn't think anyone would agree with me on that.
I don't. The only thing wrong with party up (well...it IS kinda HUGE :

) was that it's 3 different songs at once. The hook iswhimsical and fun. The lyrics are threatening and bold. And the beat is a Swizz beat

. It's like he tried to mix his own 3-pack kool-aid flavor, and itcame out with that bluish greenish grayish color...but it tasted ok, didn't it? Admit it

Like I said it's not that terrible but all three things you listed are glaring. Like I said earlier it just doesn't fit the albumand it was played to death.

I liked the Kool Aid metaphor.

@ DMX "holding his own" with Kool G.

Road to the Riches, Wanted: Dead or Alive, Live and Let Die all top 10 quality albums that were hugely influential to hip hop. Saying DMX in the same sentencemakes me laugh.

Horrible, horrible album.

His first two were extremely dope. This was the beginning of the end for him.

This album was flames, i don't understand how anyone could see otherwise...

"One More Road to Cross"
"The Professional"
"DXL"
"What's My Name?"

All bangers... and the joint wit Sisqo is not to be ignored...

He collapsed with that piece of trash we refer to as "The GreatDepression"...

But when he went back to the producers that he used on his 1st LP, and dropped "Grand Champ", he cameback into the light for a min. "Grand Champ" was highly underrated...

He just went downhill from there...
