90s Knicks won playoff series and had a chance to win the chip.....they'd def dominate up front.

That 93' team was very similar to the 97' Knicks as well. Teams built to beat the Bulls and beat up on you defensively.

Like someone already said, it's a different era and those teams were allowed to do certain things then that would get you a suspension and fine in todays league now.

Defensively we're playing tough basketball, but my only concern is the lack of rebounding. In the post season, rebounding the ball plays a key role. Even last season, when we played the Bulls and lost in overtime--we lost that game because we got heavily out rebounded. The best teams rebound the ball and if we want to go far into the playoffs, we will need to learn how to rebound.

Playing Melo at the 4 will do that to a team though. You gotta take the good with the bad.

Havnet the celtics been a terrible rebounding team? I feel like doc puts the priority on the transition defense instead of offensive rebounds. That seems like what we are doing

We were getting destroyed by fast break points. This is how you beat the heat. Even if you give up rebounds.

When is lebron at his best? He grabs a board and runs down for a dunk or free throws. Or fast break that turns into an open 3

Idgaf about comparing this squad to the 90s. I was really too young to remember the glory of that era, but I know that along with glory, came the ultimate heartbreak of never winning one.

All I want is 1 championship from this team. The window is small, in terms of time, but this is our best team in the last 12 yrs no doubt. And we can look even better with two of our main guys in the lineup.
