and we're done

In the heat thread they are really talking about how this years team will be the greatest team ever in the history of the NBA.un****kingbelievable

All season Melo needs to post shaq quotes in his locker: "I think when Carmelo plays against LeBron (James) and (Dwyane Wade), he should take it personally, like he's always talked about last (among the three). When Amare plays against (Chris) Bosh, he should take it personally," O'Neal said. "That's what I always used to do. I played against guys, I used to take it personally that you're not talking about me.

"They need to do that. In order to beat Miami, they've got to."

This is obiously just my opinion, but I disagree with Melo taking it personally being a help. I saw him trying to do that in the playoff series and dude was shooting jumpers long because he was too excited and taking questionable shots trying to show up lebron.

It's different for shaq because his game was banging in the post and shaq for the most part was better than whoever the opposing center he was matched up against was. He just needed something to motivate him and focus to bring his A game.

It might work to amares benefit though so he can play with intensity for a full game and when he's healthy he is arguably better than bosh.

I think in order to stand a chance against the heat if we're healthy and see them in the playoffs Melo's best bet is to play within himself, trust his teammates, and pick and choose his spots the right way as far as when he's feeling hot and like he can take over for spurts. And if it goes down to the wire then that's the time where he's arguably the best player on the planet and can do what he's been doing throughout his career in crunch time.
