I held on to one crucial moment that stuck out at me during that interview.
Dave was talking to his father about his decision on his career choice(comedian), and it wasn't the college route that all of his siblings took. His mom dad brothers and sister all have prestigious fields... Doctors, Lawyers etc...... But Dave wanted to do what made him happy, so he question his father on how much he made, and AFTER that was discussed he stated, if I can make what you make and do what I love, then that's success to me.
My dad never made it to six figure's in his career, he was very close. If I happen to make it out of five figures, cool, but he supported us well enough that we always got what we needed.
